Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 38 in Monmouth, OR. where we enjoy all sorts of activities such as camping, back packing, canoing and white water rafting. Coming up in the next couple of months we will be going to Camp Baker for Summer Camp '09. Our troop meets every Tuesday evening at the Christ Church at 412 W. Clay St. in Monmouth, OR. starting at 7pm to work on advancement and from 7:30 to 9pm is the standard meeting where the boys learn and work together. Parents, please note that Scouting now requires that all boys have a yearly physical. With the new requirement comes a new medical form. If your scout has not already had a physical witht the new form, please check the expiration date on their current form to be sure that they do not miss out on any events because of an outdated form. In addition, part of the new medical form includes a media release form. If for any reason you do not want your child to have their photos on the website, we will need a written note from you stating that otherwise we will through the new form have permission to place photos or other media on the site and will most likely remove the password protection from the site to make site access easier for everyone in the troop or those interested in joining the troop. Parents and boys - please look around your homes for any merit badge books that the boys are no longer using and return them to the library - Thanks! Christmas Time is coming up fast. Don't forget to tell your friends, neighbors and anyone else to come down to the tree lot and get a tree from the troop or have us come after Christmas to collect them trees for recycling.
